In love with all the heart,
gives the best today.
Say no to touch; to rightful lust,
not good for love to stay.
Sometimes it will, love tarnished still,
the bed has lost its place!
No less the kiss, the days’ embrace!
My spouse, my love! God’s gift is touch.
Touching and loving, where no one goes.
My spouse the touch, God’s gift to us.
This gift will pass will be no more;
this life embracing, no more lovemaking.
All things end, a time for everything;
By death or ill, so why not now,
love often still, the senses tell.
Yes, my lover and my spouse!
Love to love, while time is spent.
