If the world was left on its own without intervention from God it would fall into disrepair and rapid destruction. For we know that God created the world by His Word and manages the world by His Word. God is also active in our lives. God does not leave us alone in the world.
God Intervenes in two ways – Common and Uncommon Intervention. Uncommon Intervention is when God directly intervenes on our behalf. When this happens we might think or say that we have witnessed some kind of miracle from God. This will happen from time to time during our life. Common Intervention is when God helps us by working through people, events, or blessing our efforts. This is more common. God is working behind the scenes.
We should expect both Uncommon and Common Intervention during our lifetime. This is one of the benefits of being a Christian. As people of faith we know by experience that we are not exempt from trouble and challenges. But we do not have to go through them alone. We should always be looking for God’s help or assistance; trusting that God will intervene in our situation either directly or indirectly. God is not inactive in our lives; for we are taught that “our help comes from the lord who made heaven and earth. He that keeps us will not slumber.” (Psalms 121:2 -3)
