Faith and hope are the wings that lift us above the clouds. The Psalmist wrote, “I have lifted up my soul. I have put my trust in you” (Psalms 25:1-2). In these verses hope is added to faith. Faith and hope are the wings by which our souls rise above our challenges and heartaches when we are lifted up to God. There is also faith and hope below the clouds. For it is our particular mission to offer both faith and hope to the distressed and unhopeful even if all we have to offer is a rain coat in the storm until they come into fair weather above the clouds.
