Seed and Soul

Seed and Soul

To soul, heart is the way,
the gateway to the soul.
In heart, the Spirit blows,
the Seed gets in the heart,
drives down into the soul.

The Seed in heart,
often – not so deep,
fowls high and low,
come steal the Seed.
It does not reach the soul.
The Seed no way to grow.
It falls in well worn path;
these fowls – pheasants,
turkeys – chickens too.
Oh, so many kinds of hesitance!
We just don’t understand,
these evil helpers of this Thief,
these fowls scoop up the Seed.
Oh soul, please understand,
find a way to know.
God’s Grace and Faith!
The Seed can come again,
receive it in your soul.
This Word again, not happenstance,
He gives another chance!

The Seed in heart,
not deep enough,
doesn’t find the soil.
No doubt is in the heart,
but does not reach the soul.
Word falls in stones,
the rocky, stony ground,
it does not reach the soil.
Sun comes out,
and scorched the earth.
When troubles come;
friends and family scoff,
the heart is too ashamed,
our heart gets in the way,
we care what people say.
The Spirit’s Word, the Seed,
the soul it does not reach.
God’s Grace and Faith!
The Seed can come again,
receive it in your soul,
this Word again, not happenstance,
He gives another chance!

This Seed in heart,
in thorns and weeds,
they fall in crowded soil.
It grows a while, It’s brought to life,
but then is choked, sad strangled hope.
Cares of life – rich deceit,
growth and life it cannot keep.
So many cares, in heart they fester;
lust and envy – pride and greed.
The soul is waiting for the Seed.
God’s Grace and Faith!
The Seed can come again,
receive it in your soul.
This Word again, not happenstance,
He gives another chance.

Say yes, say yes,
dear soul of faith,
Seed finds fertile soul.
The Spirit’s Word,
comes in the heart,
this Holy Seed.
Heart so deep,
way down in soul.
Word finds the goodly soil!
Once in the soul,
does not fade or foil.
The Word of God,
when in the soul,
is never null or void!
